THOMASTON >> Spend your summer nights at the theater, with “Grease,” playing at the Thomaston Opera House. Last performed in 2005, the smash hit musical comes back to the Thomaston Opera House main stage this July, under the direction of James Donohue with music direction by AJ Bunel.

“Grease” follows the 1959 senior class of Rydell High School, as they approach graduation, and navigate the highs and lows of young love. Rob Girardin (Southington) and Brittany Mulcahy (Terryville) star as summer lovers, Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski.

Featuring all the songs from the major motion picture, including “You’re the One That I Want,” “Sandy,” “Hopelessly Devoted To You,” and the title song “Grease,” “it’s as if you’re seeing the film again for the very first time,” theater members said.

Experience the friendships, romances, and adventures that made this Broadway knock-out and blockbuster film a huge success.
